At EncoreGarage, we like to put our own special spin on traditions, so as you gather ‘round the tree this year, we hope you enjoy our little carol, “The 12 Days of Garage Mess.” (Cue the pitch pipe.)

On the first day of Christmas
my garage mess came to be:
A bent and mangled Christmas tree.

On the second day of Christmas
my garage mess came to be:
Two bikes with flat tires,
and a bent and mangled Christmas tree.

On the third day of Christmas
my garage mess came to be:
Three broken snow shovels,
Two bikes with flat tires,
and a bent and mangled Christmas tree.

On the fourth day of Christmas
my garage mess came to be:
four piles of newspapers,
three broken snow shovels,
two bikes with flat tires,
and a bent and mangled Christmas tree.

On the fifth day of Christmas
my garage mess came to be:
five stitches from tripping,
four piles of newspapers,
three broken snow shovels,
two bikes with flat tires,
and a bent and mangled Christmas tree.

On the sixth day of Christmas
my garage mess came to be:
six garden rakes,
five stitches from tripping,
four piles of newspapers,
three broken snow shovels,
two bikes with flat tires,
and a bent and mangled Christmas tree.

On the seventh day of Christmas
my garage mess came to be:
seven tangled strands of lights,
six garden rakes,
five stitches from tripping,
four piles of newspapers,
three broken snow shovels,
two bikes with flat tires,
and a bent and mangled Christmas tree.

On the eighth day of Christmas
my garage mess came to be:
eight deflated sports balls,
seven tangled strands of lights,
six garden rakes,
five stitches from tripping,
four piles of newspapers,
three broken snow shovels,
two bikes with flat tires,
and a bent and mangled Christmas tree.

On the ninth day of Christmas
my garage mess came to be:
nine old golf clubs,
eight deflated sports balls,
seven tangled strands of lights,
six garden rakes,
five stitches from tripping,
four piles of newspapers,
three broken snow shovels,
two bikes with flat tires,
and a bent and mangled Christmas tree.

On the 10th day of Christmas
my garage mess came to be:
10 slip ‘n’ slides,
nine old golf clubs,
eight deflated sports balls,
seven tangled strands of lights,
six garden rakes,
five stitches from tripping,
four piles of newspapers,
three broken snow shovels,
two bikes with flat tires,
and a bent and mangled Christmas tree.

On the 11th day of Christmas
my garage mess came to be:
11 mystery boxes,
10 slip ‘n’ slides,
nine old golf clubs,
eight deflated sports balls,
seven tangled strands of lights,
six garden rakes,
five stitches from tripping,
four piles of newspapers,
three broken snow shovels,
two bikes with flat tires,
and a bent and mangled Christmas tree.

On the 12th day of Christmas
my garage mess came to be:
12 shattered heirloom ornaments,
11 mystery boxes,
10 slip ‘n’ slides,
nine old golf clubs,
eight deflated sports balls,
seven tangled strands of lights,
six garden rakes,
five stitches from tripping,
four piles of newspapers,
three broken snow shovels,
two bikes with flat tires,
and a bent and mangled Christmas tree.
